The Plano West Varsity Gold team went undefeated in the State Blended High School Tournament held February 2-4, 2018.

After defeating Frisco in OT (5-4) on Friday, they went on to win against McKinney (4-0) and Keller (4-3) to earn the Number 1 Seed in the Championship Game Sunday against defending National Champion Frisco at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.  The first goal was scored by Plano West Senior & Team Co-Captain Harold Chung in the opening period to give the Wolves the lead.  But with the score tied 1-1 after the 2nd period, the game was delayed due to ice issues.  The 3rd period was postponed to Tuesday, February 6th.  Plano West Senior and Team Co-Captain, Colin Bridges, scored the winning goal with 2:37 left in the game to secure the Championship for the Wolfpack.
