BB'S STORY

In January 2019, Brenden Butler (BB) was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a form of pediatric bone cancer that typically affects the limbs, hips and pelvis. It is rare; around 200 cases per year in the US. His diagnosis is limited to a location on his left foot and will require both chemotherapy for the cancer treatment, as well as an additional surgery to address the specific area of his foot. BB started chemo in February and will continue to have chemo through September.   Surgery is planned for May.  BB is a Senior at Plano East High School, where he played forward until sidelined with the injury that resulted in his cancer diagnosis.  BB is a long time DJHA player, starting with the Pens in 2010.
